Resolution 1
Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and Programme of Action of the World
Summit for Social Development*

The World Summit for Social Development,
Having met in Copenhagen from 6 to 12 March 1995,
1. Adopts the Copenhagen Declaration on Social Development and the Programme of Action
of the World Summit for Social Development, which are annexed to the present resolution;
2. Recommends to the General Assembly of the United Nations at its fiftieth session
that it endorses the Copenhagen Declaration and the Programme of Action, as adopted by the
Summit.

Resolution 2
Expression of thanks to the people and Government of Denmark*

IX.
The World Summit for Social Development,
Having met in Copenhagen from 6 to 12 March 1995 at the invitation of the Government of
Denmark,
1. Expresses its profound gratitude to the Government of Denmark for having made it
possible for the World Summit for Social Development to be held in Copenhagen and for the
excellent facilities, staff and services so graciously placed at its disposal;
2. Requests the Government of Denmark to convey to the city of Copenhagen and to the
people of Denmark the gratitude of the Summit for the hospitality and warm welcome
extended to all participants.

Resolution 3
Credentials of representatives to the World Summit for Social Development**

VI.
The World Summit for Social Development,
Having considered the report of the Credentials Committee 1/ and the recommendation
contained therein,
Approves the report of the Credentials Committee.
